Stronghold Crusader 2 is the much anticipated sequel to Stronghold: Crusader, the "castle simulator" original. After 12 years, Stronghold returns to the Middle East deserts, around 1189, with a new 3D engine and realistic castle destruction using the power of Havok Physics. Crusader 2 will bring back the addictive and agile gameplay and authentic castle simulation, seen in the original game.

Staying true to its roots, this new Stronghold will define the classic real-time strategy genre by combining RTS elements with city builder. Playing as the brutal Crusader Knight or as an Arab freedom fighter, you will need to use a brutal selection of troops and destroying siege equipment to decide the fate of the holy lands. Lead your forces in the battle as Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two individual historical campaigns with dynamic events such as tornadoes and swarms of locusts. Become the greatest of the Lords by managing your desert economy and taking possession of vital oases.

To master the battlefield, you'll need to command more than 25 unique types of units, mastering your special abilities. Increase morale with Sergeant of Weapons, use Archers to launch a salvo of arrows or climb the walls of the castle with the deadly killer. Once your skills are perfected, test them in skirmish mode or take the battle to online mode with up to 8 human players and AI. Create teams, choose different AI opponents and create your own map in this ultimate multiplayer or skirmish game.
