At the bottom of a fjord, a girl and her cattle, 
western Norway, in 1929.

This is a story of Calf Ledge, 
a farm perched on a ledge of the mountain.

​

It is from 1920 to Norway, and you play as Ruth, a young woman living alone on a remote farm at the end of a distant fjord. You take care of your cows and make delicious dairy products that your friend sells in the nearest town. But dairy farming is not going so well, and life on the farm is solitary and difficult. And on nights mysterious things keep happening to Ruth and her cows, making Ruth wonder: Is this the life she wants?

Then one day a giant, golden ship descends from the sky, forcing Ruth on a journey that will change her life.

Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a story about moving into the unknown, breaking with the past, is a story about the age, life, death and the time - but above all it is a story about finding your own place in universe.
