If you're part of the crew, you can help ship any way you see fit without being forced to a role. You can be the part of the crew of the artillery loading the cannons and fire at the enemy, or be the master of repairs and help maintain the ship by patching holes in the ship, repair the sails or pumping out of water. Help keep the firepower of your ship to top running supplies to his fellow crew member, or even board an enemy ship and conquer it!
